Anthropic Launches Claude Reflect — Monthly AI Usage Recap with Wellbeing and Focus Settings
What's new
- Claude Reflect (beta): Settings > Reflect — monthly recap of topics worked on, most active day and hour, and usage pattern observations
- Time ranges: view activity over 1, 3, 6, or 12 months
- 4D AI Fluency Framework: Claude categorizes interactions across four dimensions — delegation, description, discernment, diligence
- Wellbeing settings (Settings > Time and focus): optional break reminders and quiet hours
- Reflective prompts: e.g., 'What's one thing you want to keep doing yourself, even if Claude could do it faster?'
- Privacy: Reflect excludes incognito chats, files from connected tools, and health integration conversations
Why it matters
Reflect is a direct response to growing concerns about AI dependency and cognitive debt. Anthropic is the first major AI company to actively nudge users toward more mindful AI usage within the product itself. Likely an important signal for future AI wellbeing regulations.
How to try it
Settings > Reflect in Claude web or desktop. Beta available for Free, Pro, and Max plans. Requires Memory to be enabled.
