Claude Cowork for Mobile and Web: Background Cloud Processing and Cross-Device Task Sync

• Background cloud processing: Tasks run autonomously even when your laptop is closed or phone is locked
• Cross-device sync: Start on desktop, monitor status on mobile, retrieve output on any device
• Notifications: Agent alerts when a session needs input or has completed (hook: agent_needs_input / agent_completed)
• Beta rollout: Max plan first, more plans to follow
• Extended limits: Doubled Cowork usage limits through August 5, 2026

Why it matters

Cowork is now a full mobile productivity agent: 90% of sessions are knowledge work (not coding). Mobile access opens the tool to non-technical knowledge workers on the go.

How to try it

Available at claude.ai or via the Claude mobile app; requires a Max subscription plan. Beta is rolling out gradually.
