Notion 3.6 — External Agents, HTML Blocks, Microsoft File R/W, Outlook Automation
What's new
- External agents: Claude and Cursor can be @-mentioned from a team board and receive assigned tasks automatically
- MS Office R/W: agents read and write PPTX, XLSX, and DOCX files
- Interactive HTML blocks: calculators, quizzes, and org charts can be embedded in Notion pages
- Outlook automation: Custom Agents now have Outlook email and calendar access
- New MCP connections: Mercury, Mixpanel, Miro, Box, ClickHouse
- AI Meeting Notes: identifies speakers by active microphone
- Enterprise audit logs: cover Custom Agent activity for compliance
Why it matters
Notion 3.6 pushes the platform firmly toward multi-agent coordination — Claude and Cursor can now receive tasks directly from Notion without manual triggering. For teams combining AI coding with project management, this is a significant integration.
How to try it
Available on all Notion plans from July 1, 2026. Custom Agents with Outlook access require the Enterprise plan.
