Superhuman acquires AI detection startup GPTZero
What happened
Superhuman announced on Tuesday it has acquired GPTZero, the startup Princeton grad Edward Tian originally built as a senior thesis. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Context and impact
The deal shows the 'trust layer' around AI-generated content is becoming a commercially valuable category. After the generative-model growth phase, a detection, authentication and hallucination-scoring phase is emerging. Teachers and students remain the priority audience.
