• Persistent AI teammate in Slack: @Claude in any thread, org-wide.
• Multi-stage tasks: the bot breaks work into stages and works independently, delivering the result back to the channel.
• Cross-channel memory: it learns from other channels it has access to.
• Single identity: everyone in the org shares one Claude 'identity' and can hand off half-finished tasks.
• Granular permissions: admins control tool, info and memory access per channel.
• Proactive updates: the bot posts progress in the thread.

Why it matters

It's the first 'shared AI employee' model — not a chatbot per user, but a single Claude with team memory. It competes with Slack's own Slack AI and Microsoft Copilot in Teams. Anthropic says 65% of its internal product team's code is now produced by an internal version of Claude Tag.

How to try it

Research preview for Claude Enterprise and Claude Team customers in Slack. Expansion to other platforms 'in the coming weeks'.
