Samsung Electronics deploys ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to all employees globally

What happened

OpenAI and Samsung Electronics announced on June 21 that ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex are being deployed to every employee in Samsung's Device eXperience (DX) division — in Korea and worldwide.

Context and impact

It's a complete reversal — in May 2023, Samsung internally banned ChatGPT after sensitive code leaked through prompts. The return places Samsung alongside BBVA and Moderna on OpenAI's standardized enterprise tier. For OpenAI this is one of its largest enterprise wins ever and strengthens Codex as a serious developer tool.
